Bertelsmann Entrepreneurs Program

Do you think and act in an entrepreneurial manner? Do you approach challenges independently?

Every year, we accept a few outstanding high potentials to our Entrepreneurs Program. The goal of this program with its generalist orientation is to develop candidates into executives and have them assume responsible positions within the briefest possible period of time.

The custom-tailored program takes up to 18 months to complete, during which a variety of entrepreneurial projects are carried out in various Bertelsmann divisions worldwide (print, publishing, television, the music business as well as a wide range of service offers). Participants are supported by the Management Development Team and acquire well-founded insight into the corporate structure and culture at Bertelsmann.
In addition, regular alumni meetings are held to enable the participants to expand their network.

In order to take part in the Bertelsmann Entrepreneurs Program, your previous achievement record both at university and in your career should clearly attest to your entrepreneurial talent. • lead matrix teams as a project manager
• follow a clear line in their work

• show that they can easily work in an international environment
• develop and recommend strategies for various areas in Bertelsmann
• cooperate with other participants in the program within the scope of group projects/joint tasks

Requirements

• Experience as an entrepreneur within the scope of a business initiative or large-scale projects
• Affinity for media
• MBA or comparable degree plus three to five years of career experience
• Leadership qualities
• High analytical and problem-solving competence
• Ability to communicate in a goal-oriented and cooperative manner with management, colleagues and/or customers
• Experience in project management and responsibility for staff
• Willingness to assume responsibility
• Willingness to travel – project locations worldwide
• Knowledge of foreign languages advantageous
