HR Services at Bertelsmann has put together our list of interns and asked them to blog about their experiences working for a recruiting services department at a major media company.
Our interns work on many projects that are connected to the daily functions of our business units in the book publishing, music publishing, TV production, online and service units.
This is a great opportunity to hear first hand what its like to work across Bertelsmann from the people who are in the internships!

Miguel's third week!

Today I finish my third week at Bertelsmann. Getting to know the whole team has been a great experience. I didn’t think I could learn this much in such a short amount of time. We have been learning how to use a huge amount of programs I didn’t know even existed, and well I have never considered myself a computer expert or anything like that, but I can say now that my knowledge in this field has grown at least 200%. Other great aspect of this experience, (and probably the best) is getting to know the American way of doing business. They have such a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere but combined always with a strong will to go forward and a great sense of responsibility and performance. The guys (Mio, Freddie and Chris) have made us feel more than welcome to ask anything or to give our ideas. In fact we have a weekly meeting in which we discuss everything that we’ve been up to.
I can say now for sure that in these weeks the internship has dwarfed my expectative.
