Describe your educational background. Where did/do you study, what degrees did/will you receive?
I did my Bachelor degree in Business administration at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich including a semester abroad at the University of Sydney. After that I continued my studies with the Master in Management degree in Mannheim which I will probably complete in July/August 2015.

Describe your career history. What have been your professional experiences?
During my Bachelor I did several internships. I started with a two-month internship in the advisory area of KPMG, worked for half a year as a working student in the controlling department at Allianz Real Estate and gained experience in a four-month internship at BMW Financial Services.
Subsequently, I took part in the Gap-Year program and accomplished further internships in the market management department of Allianz Real Estate and this summer in the Key Account Management of arvato AG.

What attracted you to Bertelsmann and your internships? What is/was your favorite aspect about your job?
My internship at Bertelsmann was part of the Gap-Year program. I was attracted by the diversity of services and products of Bertelsmann and I was especially curious to learn more about the different departments.

What has been your most challenging/rewarding/exciting task or project thus far?
Beating the marathon time of my father ;-)

What qualities do you feel are necessary to be a successful employee at Bertelsmann?
Team-orientation, creativity, ambition and flexibility.

What was/is a typical day during your internship like?
I was living in Bielefeld and started every day with a 30-minutes ride by car to the office. At the office, there was not a typical day as the work changed every day spontaneously in our new department due to recent restructuring of arvato. This made it to a special and interesting experience for me. Depending on the work, I met some old friends or other interns in the evening to do some sports or enjoy a little bit the city of Bielefeld.

What are your professional goals? Any others?
My professional goal is to find a job where I have a lot of responsibility, work in an international environment and have challenging tasks.
As I am passionate about tennis, I would love to visit all four Grand Slam tournament at least once (so far I have only been to Roland Garros in Paris).

If you have one word to describe Bertelsmann – what would it be?
